On my recent trip to the Philippines, I saw the power of blogging to keep our family and friends up to date on what is happening with our family. I don't have the time and know how to make it fancy, but it's a start. If you haven't visited the blog from our recent pastor's conference please view it at: http://philippinesconference.blogspot.com/ One of those posts was from me under Scott's name.
I had a great time getting to know the pastors and church planters. It gave me a more realistic picture of what is going on and where I fit. From the pictures on the other blog you can see that the team I travelled with was a lot of fun.
I enjoyed visiting the Bible study in the squatter village where Heather and I visited a little over a year ago. The group of believers has grown in size and depth of maturity. I was encouraged watching both young and old singing heartily during the worship time. During the sermon I saw people following along in their Bibles.
I also had the priviledge of visiting several church sites in Batangas after the team left. In Batangas city Dr. Dale set up a medical clinic at an outreach of Pastor Nilo. Then we had a meal with Nilo's family.
